Please note that this tour is strictly adults only. Registration is essential and costumes are encouraged. Please wear warm clothes and suitable enclosed shoes as walking will be part of this tour (medium level fitness required). See below FAQs for more extensive accessibility information. All visitors will be required to sign a release form upon check in. 

Please bring your own torch! Mount Stromlo is a dark site with limited lighting and there will be uneven ground.

In the event of rain/mud, a shorter route will be used and the tour will be shortened to 30 minutes in length. This tour will be $15 and we will refund the difference.

FAQs

What are the fitness requirements for the event?

This one hour ghost tour requires a moderate level of fitness. The route is approximately 1.7 kilometres on grass as well as paved, gravel, and dirt roads. The route has some steep slopes and we strongly encourage everyone to wear suitable walking shoes. Please also bring your own torch!

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public transport does not service Mount Stromlo Observatory. Your best option is to get a taxi/Uber from your location to Mount Stromlo. If you are driving to Mount Stromlo, there is plenty of free parking near the Visitor Centre.

The boomgate will only open 15 minutes before each tour to avoid interrupting previous tours.
